Why a Bloodmobile?

Our mission is to provide a safe and adequate blood supply for patients in the diverse community we serve.

Inova Blood Donor Services supplies lifesaving blood and blood products to over 15 different hospitals and medical centers in Northern Virginia and the Washington, D.C., metro area. We also work with national and international redistribution organizations to get blood where it’s needed most.

Inova Blood Donor Services has been serving our community for over 35 years.

Inova Blood Donor Services offers convenient hours and locations at five full-service donor centers in Northern Virginia. You can also donate at community blood drives held throughout the region 365 days a year.

Inova Blood Donor Services holds blood drives with every high school in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Every day Inova Blood Donor Services works to collect, test, and safeguard more than 200 units of blood to ensure a safe, ready supply for you and your loved ones.

Every donation of blood, whether it’s made at one of our blood drives or at one of our donor centers is processed in a very technically sophisticated, FDA-monitored, testing lab at our Dulles location in Sterling, Virginia. 12 tests are performed on every unit of blood before it is made available for transfusion.

Our goal is to collect at least 73,000 blood donations per year. We rely on the help of our volunteer blood donors, and business and media partners to help us educate the public and raise awareness about the importance of blood donation.
