Caps Care Casino Night and Auction Raises More Than $350,000 for Charity

More than 600 fans helped the Washington Capitals raise a record number $353,851 for charity at the third-annual Caps Care Casino Night and Auction sponsored by Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races on Feb. 10 at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Alexandria, Va. A majority of the money raised will benefit Washington Capitals Charities, which supports community programs in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. The Children’s Hospital Foundation will receive $25,000, which will be donated to the hospital’s uncompensated care fund for uninsured and underinsured patients. Love for Lokomotiv will also receive a portion of the proceeds.
