USO donors get free tickets
By donating personal hygiene and entertainment items to members of the military through the USO of Metropolitan Washington, individuals gain free admission to the game, tickets for which are priced at $10. Accepted items include:
Toiletries (travel size):
• Toothpastes (small)
• Toothbrushes
• Hair combs / brushes
• Deodorant
• Female hygiene items
• Body soap / lotion
Electronics:
• DVD movies
• Xbox 360 video games
• Wii video games
• PlayStation 3 video games
Gift Cards ($25.00 increments):
• Grocery stores (Giant, Wal-Mart, Target, Safeway, Commissaries)
• Phone cards (international and domestic)

Chuck-A-Duck
Chuck a duck will be returning to the Charity Hockey Classic this year during the first intermission. For those who were not at last year’s event the rules are simple. The person who lands their hockey rubber ducky closest to the center of the ice (faceoff circle) will walk away with big prize. Ducks are available for $5, and this year’s big prize is a 50’ television.

Washington Nationals Blood Drive
Thank you to the Washington Nationals for holding two very successful blood drives this summer with Inova Blood Donor Services. Together they collected 771 units of blood over the period of three months which ensured that the 15 hospitals that Inova provides blood to had a stable supply during the difficult summer months.
